My embarrassing 5
Published on June 13, 2006 By jennybean In Blogging
Ok I guess since JillUser tagged me I can be a good sport too! I dont know if I can think of 5 , but I'll try to give you something.

1) I am very much mama's girl and in elementary school I always missed her when I was at school. One day in second grade, I think, I forgot my jacket and she came up to the school to give it to me. After she left my class, I actually cried because I missed her already! I got teased for it bigtime.

2) Middle School. Period. Middle school could be very fun, or it could be a nightmare. I guess it depended on the day. Like most teenagers, I always struggled with acne, but the problem was that I was an early bloomer and developed everything way earlier than most. That means I started getting minor pimples as early as third grade. Imagine what sixth grade held for me! I actually sat in a desk in science class one day that some jerk had written in saying "my name here" needs Clearisil. That was very embarrassing and sad to see how cruel kids can be. That same year, a very observant male classmate of mine pointed out in a loud voice in class his disovering of my "Mustache" aka peach fuzz most women eventually get. (3)

4) Hence, the early blooming, male classmates discoverign I wore a bra at the age of 9 or 10 (I forget because I know I needed one way before I actually starting wearing one!) when the strap accidentally showed from a baggy shirt collar. Talk about unwanted attention.

Ok so for the majority, I think these were honestly very difficult and sad times for me, but #5 is more light hearted.
5) In eighth grade English class, during lecture none the least, I was putting my hair up in a pony tail. My hair is very thick and I would often break elastic ponytail holders actually trying to get my hair in one. So what happens other than the band snapping and shooting to the front of the class and landing smack on the teachers desk just inches away from her face. She demanded who threw that at her, and I didnt respond. At long last she demanded someone come forward or she would hold class over through lunch period and not dismiss us until we told. Gahhhhh! I think I would have been less embarrassed if i just would have come forward from the beginning, but I was shy and intimidated by this particular teacher and didnt want her to know it was me. I could have slid under my desk and stayed there the rest of the day!

Ok I dont know who is left, but I will tag......Boogiebac, Forever Serenity, shovelheat

I think Shovelheat has already been tagged.

I can totally relate to the embarrassment of being an early bloomer. I was wearing a bra out of neccessity in 3rd grade! The hair band one reminded me of a similar instance but it was a rubber band from my braces. Those things used to break and snap fellow classmates all the time.

Braces, now that was something that was just plain embarrassing.

Haha. That is something mother nature spared me of needing. Thank God; I dont know if I could've taken much more at that age!

I think Shovelheat has already been tagged.

Oh thanks! I then tag...........Amanda Pearl!

Forever was tagged too.  You are young, based upon your chronology!

But now they have wooden 'guns' to shoot rubber bands.

Hehe. I guess 24 is on the younger side of the majority of bloggers here. I was just trying to keep it to "childhood" memories since that is what the original blog did. Trust me, I have plenty of embarrassing moments that happened after my teenage years!

Awww. glad you think so! I still am a mama's girl at heart. I actually still live just about two miles away from her now!

Thanks for playing along and sharing these

No problem! Who doesn't love reminiscing (sp?) about painfully embarrassing childhood memories?

Oh gawd....I should have put a "headgear" story in mine..... Of course, I used the rubber bands as weapons on my unsuspecting prey.  Who would think such a geek would secretly want to inflict pain on all those around her?  muhahahahahaha...

Your #5 was very funny!!

I can relate with the early blooming one. I was one of those who had to wear a bra before everyone else and I was so mortified, scared that anyone would find out and make fun of me. I actually didnt' want to go to school because of it!

I did get tag a couple of times now I think I'm going to follow lead and just repost the responses I made on Elie's blog. Hehe, embarrassing but funny stuff!
